A Landmark Settlement Against LMPD Officers

I’m proud to share a recent accomplishment that underscores our commitment to advocating for justice and accountability. Our client, Nik was awarded a $150,000 settlement after a challenging legal battle stemming from a July 2018 incident in Louisville, Kentucky.

Nik was waiting for a bus when he was approached by police officers in an act that he felt was unjustifiable. Feeling intimidated, Nik attempted to leave the scene, only to be pursued, physically assaulted, and wrongfully arrested by the officers. This encounter resulted in serious injuries for Nik including a gash to his eye and significant pain to his jaw and back, leading to missed court dates and substantial hospital bills.

Together with attorney Zac Meihaus, our firm represented Nik in this difficult case, encompassing a wrongful criminal charge and a civil lawsuit against the officers for their actions. Our steadfast commitment to justice and holding the officers accountable culminated in the dismissal and expunction of the criminal charges, alongside a $150,000 settlement for all civil claims.

This case underscores the critical importance of legal representation in confronting police misconduct and the power of the legal system to correct wrongs. We are honored to have played a role in this significant victory for jsutice and remain committed to fighting for the rights and dignity of all individuals.

To anyone who believes they have been wrongfully treated or are facing legal challenges, remember: you are not alone. Our team is here to ensure that justice is served, and your rights are protected.
