Practice Focus
The Kemper Law Office is a Louisville-based litigation firm focused on serious civil disputes. We do not attempt to be everything to everyone. The firm concentrates on litigation, not volume work, and accepts a limited number of matters so that each case receives focused attention.
Our work often includes serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, civil rights litigation, dental malpractice, complex and referred insurance disputes (including fire and hail losses), contested estate and probate litigation, and business or financial disputes where litigation is unavoidable.
How We Practice
Our approach to law is grounded in a simple principle: we take cases to do good for people, and we handle them the right way.
In personal injury, dental malpractice, and insurance disputes, we represent individuals facing insurance companies with vastly greater resources. These are companies that have collected premiums for years and then look for reasons to deny or minimize legitimate claims. In estate litigation, we represent clients who have been taken advantage of by a family member or, in some cases, by professionals who breached their duties. In business disputes, including business divorces, we work with partners who need a realistic path forward, not prolonged conflict driven by billing incentives rather than outcomes.
Across every matter, we make the same commitment. We tell clients what we are going to do, and then we do it. We do not make promises we cannot keep. The client’s interests come first, and we avoid self-serving decisions. All in all, we never lose sight of the fact that it is the client’s case and the client’s life.
That approach is why many of our matters come by referral and why clients trust us with difficult decisions.
